Creation of a methodology for participatory budgeting in Czech cities

Methodological guide for the development of participatory budget processes adapted to the context of cities in Czechia, including steps for design, planning, implementation and evaluation, and several examples in the country.

This methodology is intended for those who need a simple and understandable preparation tool for the design and implementation of participatory budgeting (PB) in Czech cities. It was developed to be used by politicians, active citizens, or civil servants and provides practical instructions on how to prepare a participatory budget, how to implement it, and what to watch out for when implementing winning projects.

Examples and views of politicians and officials from several Czech cities, as well as examples from abroad, also give a better idea of what needs to be done. For step-by-step guidance, the document provides a summary of activities with a description of how to carry them out.
