Jarosław Olejniczak is an assistant professor in the Department of Finance at the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business. His research is focused on local-government finance, particularly citizen participation. He analyses how to improve the efficiency of public spending, as well as the impact of legal conditions on participatory processes. For this reason, he has been a member of an interdisciplinary research team for many years,.

Currently, he collaborates with researchers from Poland and the Czech Republic to examine the participation of young adults in local government activities, as well as citizen participation in rural areas.
