David Reilly

The Poverty Aliiance | Glasgow, Scotland

David loves working with people and communities. He joined the Poverty Alliance from the Scottish government’s community empowerment team, for which he led its participatory budgeting and community development activities.

Before that, David worked with the Scottish Community Development Centre, working on ways power can be shared with citizens more equitably. While working with public bodies and government, David most enjoyed facilitating work with people furthest from power and seeing them build confidence and take action.

He was also a facilitator for the Citizens’ Assembly for Scotland and as part of a change team, working to end homelessness.

Previously David worked for the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s legal team.
