Tartu Climate Assembly

Tartu's first climate assembly, in 2022, engaged 55 randomly chosen residents to propose ways to enhance street safety, reduce pollution, and promote a climate-friendly future.

The assembly focused on making urban space safer and more attractive. Residents were selected taking into consideration their gender, age, place of residence, occupation, and mother tongue. The assembly's proposals were submitted to the city government.
