Proposed model for a citizens' climate assembly in the Balearic Islands, Spain

A model of a citizens' climate assembly developed in the Balearic Islands region in Spain, adapted specifically for a region formed by islands (archipelago).

This proposal was prepared within the framework of the “Feasibility study project and diagnosis for the design of a citizens' assembly for the climate in the Balearic Islands,” developed by the University of the Balearic Islands and financed by the European Climate Foundation. The proposal's objective is to define and establish principles and criteria to take into account in designing a citizens' assembly for the climate in the Balearic Islands at the insular and regional level. It also establishes guidelines for the design of an assembly, which could also be used for other citizens' assemblies in similar island contexts.
