Participatory budgeting for schools

A page on the PB Scotland website that outlines the benefits of PB in schools, and provides a diverse range of resources.

PB has been used in schools across the world and is a powerful way for children and young people to get involved in the decisions that affect them.

Our schools are the very heart of our communities, a place of learning and development for pupils and make a significant contribution to the wider community outside of school hours. Many schools are striving to become rights-respecting schools, where children are respected and feel confident to have a voice in the decisions that matter to them. Participatory budgeting is emerging as one way of giving pupils a say in what affects them, but also as a way to encourage active citizenship and positive participation in their communities
