Guidelines to organizing hyperlocal discussions

A complete guide with the main steps to design and implement hyperlocal discussions: choosing topics, setting goals, potential formats, participant selection, facilitation, technical settings, etc.

This guideline has been created in the context of the Erasmus+ project “Digital discussions - youth and Europe,” for discussion organizers to answer questions about the new hyperlocal format. In this format, participants and audience members meet in person, where they engage — using digital tools — with people in other countries, who are also attending the discussion in person in their own country.

Organizers are encouraged to use this guideline as a reference when planning their events. It is designed to help understand the benefits of the hyperlocal format and how to successfully implement it.
