Nicolás Díaz Cruz, Co-President

Nicolás is the executive director of Extituto de Política Abierta in Colombia, an organization that supports innovative practices to influence, occupy and inhabit decision-making spaces. It aims to make politics more open and democracy more solid, to redistribute power, and bring government closer to citizens. 

Nicolás has held consultant, senior advisory, project management and executive director positions in “think-and-do” tanks, international organizations and the Colombian government. The co-founder of Demolab and the Nosotras Ahora Network, he also is a member of the Latin America Network of Political Innovation.

Nicolás has been a lecturer, researcher and practitioner for more than 12 years in the areas of participation, civic inclusion and democracy. He has published and edited a number of articles and books.
