Lize Mogel, Fundraising Manager

Lize supports social justice and cultural organizations with her 20+ years of experience as a grant writer and fundraising consultant. Along the way, she worked for major museums, grassroots community organizations and academic institutions. She was introduced to participatory democracy during her more than five years at the Participatory Budgeting Project. At People Powered, she manages institutional and individual giving, and supports member organizations in fundraising in their home countries.
Lize is also an interdisciplinary artist, educator and counter-cartographer, who uses maps to highlight injustices in social spaces. She has mapped public green space in Los Angeles, collective knowledge of place in the United Arab Emirates and New York City’s water infrastructure. She also is co-editor of “An Atlas of Radical Cartography,” a project that significantly influenced the conversation around mapping and activism.
