Annie Cook

Annie is a network and delivery manager for Democratic Society. Annie has supported participatory budgeting across Scotland, including developing learning, training and support materials for local authorities and communities for Scotland’s PB.

In addition, she has helped people access digital tools, researched community access to digital PB, and developed a deliberative guide to PB.

As a public engagement and participation practitioner, Annie has worked on various European and Scotland-based projects, including an AI strategy for public engagement and Scotland’s citizens’ assemblies, including one on climate.

Annie is currently Demcoratic Society’s lead for DEMOTEC, an EU-funded Horizon 2020 project that focuses on citizen engagement in European regional policies.

Interested in creative engagement methods, theater and film, Annie also directed and produced a PB Scottish national film in partnership with COSLA.
