Manual for participatory decision-making in Croatia

A manual offering tools and examples of good practices to implement a participatory approach in Croatian decision-making processes, including examples of participatory budgeting and citizen panels across Europe.

This resource was compiled to help civil society organizations and/or local and regional government units in applying a participatory approach in the process of decision-making, public policies, or implementation of projects of interest to the wider community. Participatory approaches serve to improve the functionality, quality, and reputation of public services through joint planning and implementation in cooperation with local stakeholders. The guiding thought of this approach is that a strong partnership between public bodies, the private sector, and civil society is the cornerstone of the effective creation of public policies.
