Many local and national governments struggle to create meaningful opportunities for citizen participation and participatory democracy. This challenge is even greater during COVID-19, as participation programs are forced to move online. In this webinar, learn about a new organization that is helping governments address this challenge. People Powered is a new global hub that aims to expand people’s power to make government decisions, by supporting organizations and governments that are building participatory democracy around the world. Thanks to funding from the Hewlett Foundation and Ford Foundation, People Powered is coordinating local experts and leaders in participatory budgeting, policy-making, and planning, to help them provide better support to governments. Its Co-Executive Director and Board Co-President will share more information on the latest developments, tools, resources, and support they can provide for building more inclusive and responsive governments.

The webinar is free and is co-sponsored between the Open and Transparent Government CoP and Citizen Engagement CoP at the World Bank.
