Estonia will host the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Global Summit, which will bring together heads of state and government, civil society organizations and policymakers in Tallinn.
The summit will focus on the key themes of OGP’s new strategy: anti-corruption, digital governance, climate and environment, and public participation and civic space. Building on Estonia’s reputation as a digital society, it will particularly encourage participants to explore open government in the digital age; the potential of technology to make governance and policymaking more transparent, participatory and accountable; and the preservation of democracy as we continue to see threats to civic space and the rise of authoritarianism around the world.
The event also will offer an opportunity for civil society representatives to connect with their government counterparts and exchange ideas.
Registration for in-person attendance is now open, but it will also be possible to participate in selected discussions online.
