The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom is launching the “Innovation for Democracy Café“! In a series of digital events, it is showcasing best practices for using digital technology and other innovative approaches to foster freedom, democracy and human rights.

In this second “episode,” the foundation will focus on guides and tool kits for digital democracy.

The spread of COVID-19 has accentuated the importance of online public participation. When physical communication is impossible, the government and the people have to rely on digital tools to sustain the operation of a quality democracy. However, for people to play an active role in digital democracy, citizens and advocates need more resources and knowledge, including what digital tools they can use and how to evaluate them.

In this webinar, speakers will include Katya Petrikevich, co-founder and international director of Participation Factory, and Hao-ting Chang, design lead for Public Digital Innovation Space.
