TICTeC Labs will discuss the challenges the civic tech community faces working in hostile environments, from everyday government resistance to operating in conflict and post-conflict societies.
What are the challenges in different contexts and how can the community support the civic tech community to carry on, collaborate and contribute productively in hostile environments? What can be learned from the use of “peacetech” in conflict and post-conflict societies to tackle common challenges? What is – and isn’t – helpful in supporting civic tech and citizens in hostile environments?
The panel of discussants will include representatives from Forset (Georgia) and Build Up.
