We need new forms of collaboration between citizens and public institutions to formulate responses to the complex and interconnected challenges we all face.

What is called “the deliberative wave” is emerging, with citizens’ assemblies among the most visible initiatives around the world.

In this conference, participants will learn about the implementation of citizen assemblies in Europe (Denmark, Scotland and Ireland) from the people who started them, researchers who evaluated them, and politicians who sponsored them.
