2023 Planning Process and Board of Directors Selection

 
 

How should we build and improve participatory democracy around the world? Who should guide the strategy and policy of People Powered going forward?

Dear People Powered members, 

We are excited to announce the 2023 planning process and the selection of board of directors members. And we want you to help decide what we do! You are part of a global community of participatory democracy advocates, organizations and researchers, and you know best what you need. That’s why People Powered is inviting you to select our board of directors members and decide our 2023 spending priorities. We’re committing $200,000 to fund your top priorities, thanks to support from One Project.

This year the process will run between September and December and we are encouraging members to propose ideas that build on and contribute to existing People Powered work or infrastructure.

How you can participate 

In this page you will find more details about the process. Note that to participate, members must have an account on our Governance Platform. If you have not already set up an account, you will receive an email inviting you to create one.

If there are staff members in your organization who are not part of this Google Group and would like to participate in this process, please share their names and email addresses with me (mariana@peoplepowered.org).

Idea-collection calls

As we mentioned last week, we will organize video calls for the idea-collection and proposal development phases. We encourage members to sign up for at least one call for each stage. We will have breakout sessions in French, Portuguese and Spanish in some of the calls. Please find the dates, times and languages for the idea-collection calls below and then register!

We will announce the dates and times for the proposal development calls soon!
